1st Annual Joe Martin ALS Foundation Golf Tournament
Get out your golf clubs and join us at the Rocky River Golf Club (in Concord, NC, near Lowe's Motor Speedway) on Saturday, June 6, 2009! The tournament will begin at 8:30a.m. and will be a "captain's choice" format for teams of four. The fee per golfer is $165 and includes lunch, a "moisture management" polo golf shirt, a "goody" bag, and prizes for longest drive, longest put, closest to the pin, straightest drive, and for a hole-in-one. Golfers without a foursome are welcome and will be combined with other single players. Hole sponsorship is available for $1,000 and includes signage, website and Facebook advertising, and two complimentary passes to play in the tournament. Neil Cottrell and Rusty McDonald attended the January ALS Support Group in Matthews, North Carolina, to discuss home accessibility and mobility issues. There was a great turnout and Rusty and Neil enjoyed meeting this very fun group and sharing how to properly transfer someone using a Hoyer lift, as seen below.
